CAMPING AT NEW JERSEY STATE FACILITIES

For those planning a camping trip to any public campground, please visitCampground Reservations, operated by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection. You must first create a NJ Campground Reservation account. You can then easily review reservations already made and track the status of you campsite.

 

TIPS FOR MAKING YOUR RESERVATION

• When making your reservation, especially from a mobile phone or a tablet, you may find it easier to choose the List View as opposed to Map View to find available sites for the date that you entered.

• Use the Availability View tab so you can see availability for each site for up to a month from the date that you enter.

• Some areas of Wharton State Forest are considered Primitive or Wilderness campsites, enclosed pit toilets are available.

• Access to Lower Forge and Mullica River campsites by boating, hiking or horseback. No motor vehicles allowed.

• Alcohol is prohibited.

• Pets are prohibited in overnight facilities with the exception of pet friendly campsites. Campers must provide proof of Rabies vaccination
