GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT RENTALS
WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT MICKS CANOE & KAYAK RENTAL, just park your car and grab the gear. Register for trips inside the store, then head out to the picnic tables. In a few minutes, a bus will arrive loaded with equipment for your trip. Hop on and take a short ride through the forest to your starting point. Have a safe trip. We'll already be there at your destination to pick you up and return to Micks.
• Daily rates are per boat.
• Rental includes canoe or kayak, life vests, paddles, and transportation to and from the river.
• No trips scheduled after 1:30 p.m. All boats must be on the beach by, or before, 4:30 p.m. daily.
• Children under 10 years old are free. No children under 5 years old permitted.
• Outdoor shower and changing rooms for women and men available.
• Pets are welcome on day trips but must be on a leash. Proof of rabies vaccination required by the State of New Jersey.
• Parking at our facility is at your own risk. We are not responsible for vehicles or valuables left inside vehicles.
• Livery service not available for those with rafts, tubes, or inflatable flotation devices.
OVERNIGHT CAMPING DISCOUNTS

INFORMATION FOR YOUR TRIP
We encourage our canoers and kayakers to relax and enjoy the gentle rivers and beauty of the forest. You can add extra time for swimming and picnicking to any trip. However, all boats must be on the beach by 4:30 p.m. Plan accordingly to make the most of your day. Please schedule yourself enough time. Your choice of trail is determined by how early you check-in at the store.

DIVISION OF FISH AND WILDLIFE
Anyone age 16 and older must have a valid license to fish the fresh waters of New Jersey with handline, rod and line, or longbow and arrow. This includes privately owned lakes and other waters. Fishing licenses must be worn in a conspicuous place on the outer clothing while engaged in fishing, and must be exhibited to law enforcement personnel on request. Persons under 16 years old or over 70 years old do not require licensing.
Purchasing your license is more convenient than ever before. This new I.E.L.S. Integrated Electronic Licensing System site will allow you quick and easy access to fishing licenses, permits, regulations and other important information about recreation in New Jersey.

CAMPING AT NEW JERSEY STATE FACILITIES
For those planning a camping trip to any public campground, please visit Campground Reservations, operated by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection. You must first create a NJ Campground Reservation account. You can then easily review reservations already made and track the status of you campsite.
TIPS FOR MAKING YOUR RESERVATIONS

When making your reservation, especially from a mobile phone or a tablet, you may find it easier to choose the List View as opposed to Map View to find available sites for the date that you entered.

Use the Availability View tab so you can see availability for each site for up to a month from the date that you enter.

Some areas of Wharton State Forest are considered Primitive or Wilderness campsites, enclosed pit toilets are available.

Access to Lower Forge and Mullica River campsites by boating, hiking or horseback. No motor vehicles allowed.

Alcohol is prohibited.

Pets are prohibited in overnight facilities with the exception of pet friendly campsites. Campers must provide proof of Rabies vaccination
